Microchanneling in Philadelphia at Vyve Spa

The Next Generation of Skin Rejuvenation

Microchanneling at vyve

Experience a powerful skin treatment designed to transform your complexion — naturally. At Vyve Spa, our Microchanneling treatments use cutting-edge technology to target fine lines, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and loss of elasticity — leaving your skin smoother, firmer, and glowing with youthful radiance.

Microchanneling works by creating hundreds of tiny, controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production and activate the body’s natural healing response. The result? Stronger, healthier, and visibly renewed skin — from the inside out.

  • Boost Collagen. Restore Radiance. Naturally.

Microchanneling at Vyve Spa is an advanced collagen induction therapy (CIT) designed to stimulate your skin’s natural repair process and reveal a smoother, firmer, more youthful complexion.

This innovative treatment uses a specialized device to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the production of new collagen and elastin — the building blocks of healthy, youthful skin that naturally decrease with age.

Microchanneling is a less invasive alternative to traditional skin needling treatments and delivers incredible results with minimal downtime.

How To Care For Your Skin Post-Treatment

Proper aftercare is essential to maximize your Microchanneling results and support healthy skin healing. Follow these guidelines to protect your skin and promote optimal collagen production after your treatment at Vyve Spa.

    24 Hours After Microchanneling

Gently cleanse your skin with a mild, non-fragranced cleanser and apply a soothing, hydrating moisturizer.

Avoid using any skincare products with:

    • Fragrance

    • Active ingredients (Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Retinol)

    • Acids (AHA, BHA, Lactic Acid)

    • Physical exfoliants or scrubs

    • Astringent toners

You may notice temporary side effects like mild redness, swelling, flaking, or tightness. Keep your skin moisturized to minimize dryness and discomfort.

    Avoid:

    • Exercise and sweating

    • Makeup application

    • Swimming or saunas

    • Direct sun exposure

Apply a mineral-based SPF 50+ sunscreen before going outdoors.

    48 Hours After Microchanneling

If your skin feels dry or starts flaking, you may gently exfoliate with a soft washcloth — avoid chemical or harsh exfoliants.

If your skin still feels sensitive, continue hydrating and moisturizing twice daily and wait to exfoliate until the skin feels more comfortable.

    3-5 Days After Microchanneling

Continue to apply sunscreen daily and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.

    Focus on:

    • Hydrating serums

    • Gentle moisturizers

    • Avoiding active ingredients, acids, scrubs, and toners

    7+ Days After Microchanneling

You can return to your regular skincare routine once your skin has fully healed.

Remember: Microchanneling increases skin sensitivity to the sun. Protect your results and prevent hyperpigmentation by applying a broad-spectrum, mineral-based SPF 50+ daily — even on cloudy days.

  • Important Contraindications to Know Before Your Treatment

While Microchanneling is safe and effective for most individuals, certain health conditions and medications may require extra precautions—or make the treatment unsuitable altogether. At Vyve Spa, your safety is our top priority. Please review the following contraindications and consult with your medical professional before booking if any apply to you.

    Skin Conditions Requiring Medical Clearance

If you have an active or abnormal skin condition, Microchanneling may not be appropriate or may need to be delayed until cleared by a medical provider. These conditions include:

    • Cold sores (Herpes Simplex Virus)

    • Active acne or open lesions

    • Eczema or psoriasis

    • Rosacea flare-ups

    • Fungal infections or rashes

    • Bruised or inflamed skin

    • Skin cancer or suspicious lesions

    • Contagious skin conditions

These conditions can increase your risk of irritation or infection. Even if symptoms are mild, it's important to avoid triggering inflammation that could worsen the condition.

    History of Keloid Scarring

If you’ve experienced keloid scars (raised or thickened scars) in the past, Microchanneling may not be recommended. Since the treatment stimulates a controlled healing response, individuals prone to keloid formation may have an undesirable reaction. Always check with your doctor before proceeding.

    Medication Use

Certain medications may increase skin sensitivity, slow healing, or interfere with your Microchanneling results. These include:

    • Accutane (Isotretinoin)

    • Photosensitizing medications (some antibiotics, antidepressants, or blood pressure meds)

    • Corticosteroids or immune-suppressants

    • Blood-thinning medications

Always disclose current medications to your esthetician and consult your physician before undergoing treatment.

    Recent Cosmetic Procedures

If you’ve recently had any of the following, allow time for complete healing before scheduling your session:

    • Chemical peels

    • Laser resurfacing or IPL treatments

    • Cosmetic surgery or procedures

    • Filler or Botox injections

Your skin must be fully healed and not under active treatment to ensure Microchanneling does not interfere with your cosmetic results.

    When in Doubt, Ask

If you’re unsure whether Microchanneling is safe for you, please speak with your healthcare provider before booking. At Vyve Spa, we’re happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have prior to treatment.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

While many clients see visible improvement after just one session, we recommend a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 3 weeks apart for optimal, long-lasting results.

Benefits of Microchanneling

Microchanneling is one of the most effective treatments for skin rejuvenation because it treats the root of skin aging — collagen and elastin loss.

Benefits Include:

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production

  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Improves skin texture and tone

  • Minimizes acne scars and enlarged pores

  • Brightens dull, tired-looking skin

  • Helps fade hyperpigmentation and sun damage

  • Firms and tightens loose or crepey skin

This treatment is ideal for all skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, and body.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

Your Microchanneling session at Vyve Spa starts with a personalized skin consultation. After cleansing and prepping the skin, our expert estheticians use a specialized device that gently creates tiny micro-channels into the skin's surface.

We follow with a professional-grade stem cell serum to nourish the skin and boost results. Post-treatment, your skin may appear pink or flushed — similar to a mild sunburn — but this typically resolves within 24 hours.

Add radiofrequency or dermaflashing

whether you're looking to lift and tighten the skin or smooth and brighten your complexion, these powerful add-ons take your treatment to the next level.
